TL;DR
- Lee Know's Day Pillar is 乙巳: a vine growing over fire.
- None of his six known characters is Metal, the element of rules and structure. JYP says he'll start military service in Q1 2027.
- His current 10-year luck chapter began in 2023 and runs through 2032.

He was a backup dancer for BTS. He was eliminated from the survival show that formed Stray Kids. Then he came back, and became the group's main dancer.
That's not a straight career path. That's a vine.
And when you open Lee Know's Korean birth chart, a vine is exactly what you find.
The dancing vine: Lee Know's Day Pillar is 乙巳
Lee Know was born on October 25, 1998. In Saju (the Korean way of reading a birth date as four pairs of characters), the pair for your birth day is the one that stands for you. His is 乙巳 (Eul-sa).
- 乙 on top is Yin Wood. Not a tree. A vine, a flower, grass. It bends instead of breaking, and it finds a way around whatever's in front of it.
- 巳 underneath is Fire, the snake of early summer. Heat, light, a stage.
So Lee Know is a vine growing over fire. Soft on top, burning underneath.
Now look at the path again. Before debut, he was a backup dancer on BTS stages like "Fire," "Not Today" and "Spring Day." On the survival show that formed Stray Kids, he was eliminated alongside Felix, then both were brought back. A tree that gets cut stays cut. A vine just grows back around the obstacle.
Lee Know's Five Elements
Wood and Earth lead. No Metal on the surface.
Counts the six known characters of his year, month and day pillars. His hour pillar is unknown, so it isn't included. Hidden stems are excluded.
And the fire underneath matters. In Saju, the element your Day Master feeds is your output: what you make, perform, show. For Wood, that's Fire. The specific type sitting under him has a scary name, Hurting Officer (傷官). Don't let it scare you. It just means talent that wants an audience, and a habit of doing things your own way.
A vine that burns its own energy to light up a stage. For a main dancer, that's a pretty good description.
The missing element, before military service
Here's the part that made us look twice.
Count the six known characters in his chart and one element never shows up on the surface: Metal.
For a Wood Day Master, Metal is the axe. Saju calls it the Officer star: rules, structure, authority, the thing that trims a plant into shape. (Some Metal is hidden inside the branches 巳 and 戌. It just doesn't appear among the six visible characters.)
On November 5, 2026, JYP announced that Lee Know will start his mandatory military service in the first quarter of 2027. He's the first Stray Kids member to go.
A chart with no visible "rules" element, and a real-life move into one of the most structured environments there is. It's a striking symbolic contrast. But it shouldn't be read as a prediction, or as a claim that military service is something his chart needs.
One more detail. The Saju year turns at Ipchun, around February 4. If he enlists in January, his chart is still in a 丙午 year. After early February, it's a 丁未 year. Both are Fire years, which for him means output again. Even the calendar seems to want him performing.
His current chapter: 2023 to 2032
Saju splits life into 10-year chapters called Daewoon (大運), like seasons of a show. Lee Know's current season started in 2023: 乙丑 (Eul-chuk).
The top character is 乙, the same as him. Saju calls that a Friend (比肩): a decade about standing on your own two feet, side by side with peers. Going first into service, ahead of his own members, fits a "Friend" season pretty neatly.
Coincidence? Maybe. But the timing is interesting enough to make you look twice. The next chapter starts in 2033.
What Lee Know's Saju suggests about his MBTI
Lee Know's MBTI hasn't been officially confirmed by him in a source we could verify. Fan sites often say he got ESFJ in a 2019 group test and ISFP in 2022, but we couldn't find the original clip, so treat those as unconfirmed.
So here's a playful mapping instead. This is our interpretation of Saju symbols, not a way to determine anyone's actual MBTI:
- Yin Wood can resemble the adaptable, feeling-oriented side of an FP type: soft, flexible, reading the room instead of forcing it.
- Fire output can resemble S: talent that comes out through the body and the senses, not through theory.
Put together, that reads like an ISFP-shaped chart: the quiet artist who says little and lets the stage do the talking. Does that match the Lee Know you know?
What is Lee Know's Saju like in love?
Chart talk only, not dating gossip. Here's what a 乙巳 type is like in love.
Koreans like to say Wood Day Master men (甲 and 乙) are earnest. When they're in, they're sincerely in.
The bottom character of your Day Pillar is the spouse seat. His is 巳, Fire, his output. That's a type who shows care by doing things, not by announcing feelings.
The catch? Hurting Officer types can say it a little too straight. Honest, sometimes blunt, and allergic to being told what to do. Sound like anyone you know?
And a man with three cats (Soonie, Doongie and Dori) has clearly had plenty of practice caring for someone who ignores him half the time.

Morning Lee Know or noon Lee Know?
Lee Know's birth time has never been made public, so the fourth pillar, the Hour Pillar, is a question mark. But for a 乙 Day Master, the possible Hour Pillars are fixed. Two of them tell very different stories. This is a "what if" comparison, not a guess at his real birth time.
⚔️ Born in the morning (roughly 7 to 9 a.m.): 庚辰
This one brings the missing Metal. And 乙 and 庚 form a "combination" (合) in Saju, like two puzzle pieces that click. The vine ties itself to steel. This Lee Know would be the disciplined perfectionist behind the easygoing face.
🔥 Born around noon (roughly 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.): 壬午
This one adds even more Fire. More output, more stage, more "watch this." This Lee Know would be performer first, everything else second.
Which one sounds more like him to you?
So, Lee Know's Saju
If I had to sum it up in one line:
A vine over fire: bends, comes back, and lights up the stage on its own terms.
The one thing missing on paper is Metal, the rules. And for the next stretch, he's heading somewhere with plenty of it. We'll be waiting on the other side.

Saju's a lens, not a verdict. The two Hour Pillars are a "what if" game, and the times are rough. A birth close to midnight could shift the Day Pillar (some schools would make it 丙午 after 11 p.m.), and the start of a luck cycle can move by about a year depending on the method. Enlistment details beyond JYP's announcement haven't been made public, and we're not guessing them.
